Joyce Santana should make the news.

Joyce Santana is a 26-year-old Indigenous activist from the Fulni-ô people, originally from Águas Belas, in the semi-arid region (sertão) of Pernambuco, in the Northeast of Brazil, but currently residing in the metropolitan area of Recife. She is a UN Youth Ambassador and began her activism in childhood, fighting for access to water and healthy food. For several years, she worked with the Landless Rural Workers' Movement (MST) before focusing on climate issues.
