LAND RIGHTS NOW

Aïcha Salihu should make the news.

Aïcha Salihou is a prominent 27-year-old youth leader and social and climate change activist from the north region of Cameroon. She serves as the secretary general of Mbororo Social and Cultural Development Association MBOSCUDA, member of the International Land Coalition (ILC) and is dedicated to implementing restoration projects, such as agroforestry, to combat land degradation. Her work specifically focuses on empowering Mbororo women in her community, a minority indigenous population that has historically faced challenges such as lack of education and difficulty in accessing their land rights.
