Rukasen Beypi should make the news.

Rukasen Beypi is a 31-year-old indigenous youth advocate from the Karbi community in Assam, Northeast India. She works as a fellow with the Human Rights organisation Asia Indigenous Peoples Foundation (AIPP), and has been actively involved in indigenous youth advocacy and human rights since 2016. A key focus of her work is capacity building, advocacy, and networking, mainly in the legal framework, environment, and Indigenous youth voice. For COP30, her main demands include the legal recognition and protection of indigenous territories and ensuring the meaningful participation of indigenous youth in decision-making processes.
